The moment is here. Seattle Coffee Company has officially released pods, The Way You Like It. Our pod range currently includes two options, the Classic Blend and the No Fun *decaf blend*.
The Classic Blend is the perfect everyday coffee that will get you out of bed in the morning, pull you through your midday slump, and accompany you as you burn the midnight oil. You’ll reach for our No Fun *decaf blend* when you want that moment of indulgence, minus the caffeine hit.
Currently available in packs of 10, our pods are Nespresso® compatible as well as compostable, something we are super excited about!

Why Now?
Pods are nothing new in the coffee market, but for many years we’ve been on the fence about including them in our offering. At Seattle Coffee Company, we believe that whether you’re enjoying a coffee in-store, en-route or at home, it should be the best flavour and quality possible.
Our team was not wholly convinced that we could create a coffee profile in a 6g pod, that could ever live up to an 18g barista-pulled espresso. In truth, this still isn’t possible, but we got pretty darn close.
The Classic Blend is a dark roast mix of Costa Rica, Rwanda, Sumatra and Guatemala, and pays homage to our whole bean Signature Blend. The No Fun *decaf blend* is also inspired by our whole-bean decaf beans and undergoes a gentle, non-chemical carbon dioxide decaffeination process. After many tastings, we’re confident that you’ll be getting a pod experience that we’re proud of.
Why 4WKS?
We’re in the business of beans, so putting our roasts in pod form was uncharted territory. We needed some help, but were only willing to partner up with the best of the best. When we started talking to 4WKS, we knew we had found a special company.
4WKS coffee pods are made from plant-based bio-material, sealed with a vegetable fibre lid, and branded with edible ink, making each pod compostable and biodegradable. Being able to be part of the pod space, without contributing to the massive amount of waste that usually accompanies it, is super important to us.
The 4WKS team have been incredible to collaborate with, and embodies so much of what we stand for as a company. We have loved working with them to develop our pod blend, and can’t wait for you to enjoy them at home.
Best Brewed
Many people think that a longer extraction time leads to a stronger coffee, when in actual fact it can result in a weaker flavour or bitter taste. You want the least amount of water to pass through your pod, to get the best flavour profile. Instead;
- Put your pod into the Nespresso® machine.
- Extract your pod on the shortest setting.
- Pour the shot into warm water.
- Add your favourite additions.
