POUR OVER (AKA; V60)

  • Medium to fine grind
  • 2 heaped tablespoons | 20g
  • 220 – 250ml of hot water
  • 3 – 4 minutes brewing time
  • Hot water
  • Cup
  • Ground coffee
  • Tablespoon or coffee scoop
  • Pour over / V60
STEP 1

Add the V60 dripper onto your server or mug and place the filter paper inside it.

STEP 2

Run hot water through the paper to remove the paper flavour. This has the added benefit of warming up your vessel, but don’t forget to discard the water.

STEP 3

Add your two heaped tablespoons or 20 grams of medium to fine grind coffee.

STEP 4

Add a bit of water to wet the coffee. This allows your coffee to bloom; it’s a brief chemical reaction but it has a big impact on flavour! After about 30 seconds when the bubbles are done you are good to go.

STEP 5

Add about half of your hot water in a circular motion, allowing it to filter through to the vessel. Once it’s filtered through, repeat until you’ve used up your desired amount of water, agitating the coffee around the sides as you go. This whole process should take about three to four minutes.
