AeroPress

  • Medium to fine grind
  • 2 heaped tablespoons | 20g
  • 2 – 2.5 minutes brewing time
  • Aeropress
  • 220 – 250ml of hot water
  • Cup
  • Ground coffee
  • Tablespoon or coffee scoop
  • AeroPress filters
STEP 1

Place your filter paper into the basket and attach the basket back onto the AeroPress body.

STEP 2

Run hot water through it to get rid of the paper flavour, this has the added benefit of warming the AeroPress up (remember to discard the water).

STEP 3

Add your coffee grounds, use about 20 grams, or 2 heaped tablespoons of coffee.

STEP 4

Pour hot water until the ‘level 4’ marker and insert the plunger. This creates a vacuum seal and stops the coffee from dripping through before it’s ready. Wait about 2 – 2.5 minutes for your coffee to be brewed.

STEP 5

When ready, push the plunger all the way down. There you have it, a lovely full-bodied, smooth cup of coffee.
